No...it's not a small world. Ellen Shimer is the sister of Andy, the dad from my other Shimer shoot! Ellen sent me an email shortly after I posted the sneak peek of her brother's pictures. The short version, 'I'm a mom of a 19 year old daughter with significant disabilities...you wanna take on the challenge?' In other words, she's a mom who wants pictures of the special bond she shares with her daughter. What mother doesn't?! So...heck yeah I'll take on your challenge! Caitlyn and Ellen made the loooong trek from Houston and met me at the Fort Worth Zoo. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous! I desperately wanted every aspect to turn out perfect. It did...it was a perfect day and the perfect setting.
Ellen and Caitlyn- Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to document the special bond and love you have for one another! I know it was a special day for you, but it was for me as well. The pictures are some of my favorites to date. The way you melt into one another...it's endearing :) I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
